OSA Industry Development Associates(OIDA)is a trade association that serves andrepresents the optics and photonics community, with over 260 corporate members, operating as a division within OSA, the Optical Society. OIDA members include the leading providers of optics and photonics components and systems, and leading universities and research institutions. It provides roadmap reports and market data for the industry, serves as the voice of industry to government and academia, acts as liaison with other trade associations worldwide, and provides a network for the exchange of ideas and information within the optics and photonics community. OSA Industry Development Associates was formed in 2015 from the merger of the Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (founded in 1991 and acquired by OSA in 2011) and OSA Corporate Associates (founded in 1998). OIDA is based in Washington DC.
