About the Speaker
Dr. Volker J. Sorger is the Rhines Endowed Professor for Semiconductor Photonics at the University of Florida and Deputy Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Florida Semiconductor Institute. His work focuses on photonic‑electronic integrated circuits, AI accelerators, advanced packaging, and chip prototyping. He is a Fellow of OSA, SPIE, IEEE, and IAAM and holds more than 28 U.S. patents.
