Peter joined SPIE in January 2005 and is currently Director of Marketing and Industry Relations. His purview includes all aspects of marketing, communications, and market research for SPIE. For 20+ years before SPIE, Peter was in product management and marketing leadership roles in the technical software business, including three VC-funded start-ups, and VP at a NASDAQ-listed company delivering software and services for data analytics and visualization, including image analysis from optical devices. Immediately prior to SPIE, he was VP of Marketing at enterprise software firm SchemaLogic in Redmond, WA.
Peter has a B.S. degree in business administration with a major in marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In his spare time he enjoys sailboat racing and cruising, and has an active USCG 50-ton Master boat captain license.
