Stefaan Vandendriessche

Stefaan Vandendriessche is the Director of the Laser Optics Business Line at Edmund Optics. He works to develop the laser optics manufacturing and metrology capabilities at Edmund Optics, with a focus on the laser optics center of excellence located in Florida. This ensures availability of the right product and capabilities for customers in laser applications including aesthetic lasers, materials processing, communications and defense. He previously worked as a product line manager and optical engineer, and spent extensive time in manufacturing in Edmund Optics’ global facilities including Singapore. He spent extended time during his studies at both The University of Tokyo and The University of Arizona, receiving his PhD in Nonlinear and Magneto Optics, MS in Chemistry, and BS in Biochemistry all from the University of Leuven in Belgium.
