On 27 April 2021, in its third acquisition of the year, FPC member Salvo Technologies, a respected global manufacturer of sensing and imaging products, acquired Kreischer Optics Ltd. Kreischer Optics is a leading manufacturer of complex optical components used in multiple segments including the semiconductor, medical imaging, entertainment, security and defense, as well as commercial and optical metrology industries. The acquisition increases Salvo Technologies’ manufacturing base, and adding complementary asphere and complex optical fabrication capabilities. Following Salvo’s Q1 acquisitions of Arrow Thin Films and Spectrecology LLC, Kreischer was an important linchpin for Salvo in its overall strategy of creating a vertically integrated precision optical components group.
